French song evening : talk and recital 

 Chesterford Gardens, Hampstead, London.

The evening will focuse on French music around the time of the third publication of Baudelaire's Les Fleurs du mal (1868), on the eve of the collapse of the second Empire. Early Fauré songs along works by Duparc, Debussy and Chabrier from the 1870s and early 1880s, Fauré's Nocturne no. 2 and Barcarolle no. 1.
